Dimraeth PS5: Console Status and Steam Deck
Dimraeth PS5 status: the studio says PC and Steam only with no confirmed console plans, plus Steam Deck support and what console players can do now.
There is no Dimraeth PS5 version, and no Xbox or Switch version either. The studio's official FAQ says the game "will launch on PC via Steam, with full support for the Steam Deck" and then states the line that settles the question: "At this time, we don't have confirmed plans for console releases." That answer was unchanged when we checked on 21 September 2026 (EA build 0.107.7725), and it applies to every console rather than PlayStation alone. The demand behind the search is real — "Dimraeth PS5" is one of the biggest related searches around the game — so this page separates what the studio has said from what people hope it means.
The short answer
| Platform | Status | Studio wording |
|---|---|---|
| PC (Windows, Steam) | Available now — Early Access since 15 September 2026 | "will launch on PC via Steam" |
| Steam Deck | Supported | "with full support for the Steam Deck" |
| PlayStation 5 | No version, no announced date | "we don't have confirmed plans for console releases" |
| Xbox / Switch | Same as PS5 | the same FAQ answer |
| Crossplay | Not applicable — one platform only | — |
| Local / split-screen | Not supported | "doesn't offer local or split-screen multiplayer" |
No PS5 release date has been announced, planned or hinted at by the studio. If a page hands you a date, that date did not come from Mudtek — the platform answer lives in one short section of the official FAQ, and it has not been extended since.
Why the question exists at all
Three things make "is Dimraeth on PS5" a reasonable question to ask. The store description advertises combining "any of eight races with any of six classes" into 48 archetypes, which reads like the marketing for a large multi-platform release, even though the playable Early Access roster is three races and three classes. The game itself is a 1–8 player co-op action RPG with Souls-lite combat, the sort of release that usually ships on consoles alongside PC. And the studio's own FAQ talks about playing with a gamepad or controller "at your desk or on the couch", which is exactly the setup console players assume means a console build exists.
Search data agrees the interest is not invented: our keyword source puts dimraeth ps5 at roughly 2,400 searches and dimraeth switch at about 660, with "console" and "mobile" appearing among the related searches. Steam's feature list adds another nudge — full controller support including DualShock and DualSense, so a PS5 pad already works, but on PC. None of that changes the studio's position: none of the 25 official Steam announcements reviewed for this site mentions a console version, and the store's own platform field lists Windows only.
The platform statement in full
"Dimraeth will launch on PC via Steam, with full support for the Steam Deck. At this time, we don't have confirmed plans for console releases. We're focused on delivering the best possible experience on PC first."
Note the phrasing. "PC first" and "no confirmed plans" leave a door ajar without committing to anything, which is a different thing from "a console version is coming". The FAQ page was written before launch, and it is also the only place the studio discusses platforms at all — there is no porting partner, no platform list and no timeline attached to it.

Steam Deck is the only handheld option
The Deck is the one portable device the studio has gone out of its way to support: the FAQ promises "full support for the Steam Deck", and Deck work was a target during the playtest period, with updates aimed at it before release. It is not a console and not a separate release — it is the same Steam purchase played on Valve's handheld, which matters if the reason you wanted a PS5 copy was to play somewhere other than a desk. Two limits are worth knowing before buying hardware for it: local split-screen is not supported, so a second player needs their own PC and copy, and co-op is online only.
What console-only players can do right now
- Watch the official channels, not aggregator pages. The platform answer lives on the Steam store page and the official FAQ, which is where a change would appear first; the studio also posts on Discord, YouTube, X, Instagram, Bluesky, Twitch, Reddit, Bilibili and QQ, all listed from the store page's own website links.
- Do not plan around an unannounced port. With no date, no platform list and no porting partner named, there is nothing to schedule a purchase decision around.
- Treat the FAQ wording as the current state. "We're focused on delivering the best possible experience on PC first" is the studio's most recent position, and it was still the position on 21 September 2026.
- If you want the game now, PC is the only route. The release timeline shows what shipped, and the price page covers what that single purchase includes.
Will there be a console version later?
Unannounced and unscheduled. The studio's written Early Access plan is about content rather than platforms: its answer on the full version describes "new biomes and zones beyond the current Earlwood and Wildwood regions, additional playable races and classes, an expanded late-game skill and equipment ceiling, more boss encounters, deeper crafting and building options, and a longer overall story arc" (single source). The Early Access window itself is described as roughly 18 to 24 months with no fixed exit date (single source). So the honest state of play is PC first, no confirmed console plans, and everything else is speculation — the roadmap summary collects what has actually been committed in writing.
FAQ
- Is Dimraeth on PS5?
- No. The studio's official FAQ says Dimraeth "will launch on PC via Steam, with full support for the Steam Deck" and adds "At this time, we don't have confirmed plans for console releases." There is no PS5 version and no announced date, as of 21 September 2026 (EA build 0.107.7725).
- Is a PS5 version coming later?
- Unannounced and unscheduled. The studio has not committed to a console version, and its written Early Access plan covers content — new zones, more races and classes, a higher late-game ceiling, more bosses — with no platform expansion mentioned (single source). Any "PS5 release date" you see did not come from Mudtek.
- Can I play Dimraeth on a handheld instead?
- Steam Deck is the only handheld option the studio supports: the FAQ promises "full support for the Steam Deck", and Deck work was already a target during the playtest period. That support is part of the same Steam purchase rather than a separate version of the game.
- Is there a physical PS5 or Xbox disc?
- No. With no console version there is no console disc, and the only distribution channel named in the studio's own materials is Steam, so there is no physical release to buy either way. See the price page for what that single purchase includes.
- Does Dimraeth have local co-op for the couch?
- No. The studio says the game does not offer local or split-screen multiplayer (single source) — all co-op is online, for up to eight players, with one player hosting the session. The multiplayer page explains how that works.
